Arts Grants - Create NSW
2018 Create NSW Community Band Developement Grants (new name!)
Feb 2018: The 2018 applications are in and are currently being assessed. Bands will be notified in due course as to the outcome of their applications.
For bands that received funding in 2017, the acquittal portion of your application can now been completed through the Smartygrants portal. Please arrange to complete your acquittal no later than March 1st, 2018. If you require more time please contact the Secretary.
We are pleased to announce that the 2018 Create NSW Community Bands Grants is now open and bands (subject to eligibility) can apply for funding up to a maximum of $2,000.
All bands are required to submit their applications through the Smartygrants portal (see link below). Last year, over 25 bands were successful in obtaining funding from a pool of $27,000 through this program so we are excited to see what bands will apply for this year.
We encourage all community bands to be creative with their applications as we are looking for bands that can showcase their presence and support to the wider community as well as looking to involve and retain younger players. We are no longer a community that just focusses on contests so let’s see what you can do!
Please be quick in submitting your application as the Smartygrants portal will close at midnight December 1, 2017. Late applications will not be accepted (note – community bands residing outside of NSW and school bands are not eligible for a grant through this scheme).
If you require further information about the grants scheme or whether you qualify for a grant please do not hesitate to contact our grants co-ordinator, Jeff Markham on 0412 757 125 or via email firstname.lastname@example.org
Applications can be submitted through this link.

Bands in the Park 2017
Thank you to those bands that participated in this event. At this stage we will not be calling for expressions of interest for 2018 but we are looking at options for a similar style event. Watch this space!
In the meantime, please enjoy these photos from each of the bands.
