“The Music Stand” is our free bi-monthly journal distributed electronically to all registered bands.

 

The BANSW can mail a hard copy to individual subscribers or non-registered bands for a subscription fee of $25 per year. We encourage all bands to submit their news on events and activities. Articles can be accepted from any interested party as long as it’s relevant to the NSW band community. If you wish to receive an electronic copy of The Music Stand, please email the Secretary or fill in the online form. You can also obtain a hi-resolution copy of the journal by clicking on the cover image.

 

Submission Deadline Dates are:

1st March, 1st May, 1st July, 1st September and 1st December.

 

Please send your submission and any accompanying photos to our Editor by the due dates email “The Music Stand” Editor.

A hard copy of the journal will continue to be posted to existing subscribers unless informed otherwise. All bands should ensure that they have the correct email address recorded on our database. Please check your band listing in the Concert Bands/Brass Bands links on the website and advise the Association Secretary your record requires an update. Bands that would like only an electronic copy should contact the Editor. We encourage all band secretaries to forward the Music Stand to their members.

For new subscribers that would like a hard copy of The Music Stand, please advise the Association Secretary and remit your subscription fee via cheque (PO Box 550, Jannali, NSW 2226) or EFT (we will provide bank details upon request).
